Our enterprises run largely on the dedication of our volunteers. From sorting thrift donations to mentoring youth on the job, there's a role for everyone.
Last year, 368 volunteers contributed over 26,000 hours to Compassion Planet.

Ways to Volunteer
There are many ways to volunteer at Compassion Planet, Every role plays a part in
creating meaningful opportunities for aged-out foster youth.
Compassion Planet Thrift Store
Volunteers work sorting furniture, household items, clothing, shoes and various items. Volunteer Display Merchandisers are responsible for mannequin and clothing displays, table and merchandise displays.
DCF Garden
Our garden offers flexible volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Tasks include weeding, planting, harvesting, inventory, and displays, along with special events like Pumpkin Patch and Garden Days. Volunteers coordinate schedules with the Garden Manager.
Office Help
If you have an office skill to share such as data entry, typing, or you don’t mind helping out with a special project, you would be a great asset.
CP Special Projects
Special projects could be as simple as changing a lightbulb in our training center or a more time-consuming project like painting an office or helping to move office furniture, or perhaps you have a specialty skill you would like to share with us.

- We are currently unable to accommodate court-ordered community service hours
